EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR EVERYONE

PROMOTING EQUITY, DIVERSITY & INCLUSION

TCC strives at all times to provide equal opportunities for employment with a strong focus on inclusion and diversity. We believe all individuals must be treated equally and be given the same set of opportunities regardless of their race, age, gender, religion, sexuality, disability and seek to provide balanced shortlists to our clients at all times.

An equal and inclusive workplace culture allows all people to thrive at work, regardless of their background, identity, or circumstance and having a diverse workforce means that organisations can offer a wide range of ideas, skills, resources, and energies, giving the business a competitive edge. We believe that there is a much wider pool of talent available and many key benefits to organisations that embrace diversity and inclusion.

WOMEN TECH LEADERS

As of 2023, the latest Women in Technology statistics from Deloitte shows that only 25% of jobs in the tech industry are occupied by women.

Furthermore, statistics on female representation on Boards as Leaders in the Corporate world reached 39% in FTSE 100 companies, and apparently the voluntary target is now 40% for the top 350 companies by the end of 2025.

While the proportion of women on boards may have risen, the biggest UK companies have failed to meet the same target when it comes to executive roles. Across various sectors, women remain underrepresented in leadership roles. On average women make up 30% of leadership positions in the UK, according to LinkedIn data. The data indicates progress has been slow but there are signs of potential: the share of women being hired into roles at director level or above has seen incremental improvements in recent years: in 2022, the share of women hired into director level roles or higher stood at 37%, up from 31% in 2015.

When we embrace equity, we embrace diversity, and we embrace inclusion. We embrace equity to forge harmony and unity, and to help drive success for all. Equality is the goal, and equity is the means to get there. Through the process of equity, we can reach equality.

So it's clear that more needs to be done and here at TCC we strive to provide a 50/50 balanced gender candidate short-list wherever possible. We also feel that women sharing their personal journeys in Tech, or any sector for that matter, is an important part of driving change in the corporate space and we are proud to share some of these stories on our company pages.

Senior Category Manager - Flagship Smartphones

" I started my career from a young age due to my great passion for learning new technology. I put myself forward for opportunities which arise that are outside my comfort zone. By doing so I’ve learnt new skills, developed my own capability and gain strategic communication skills to manage key stakeholder and influence others. This has helped me to be successful in my career. Now I use my voice fearlessly to share my ideas and opinions.

Throughout my career I’ve been inspired by women in leadership due to their confidence and mind-set. I’ve been lucky enough to have great role models, coaches and managers. My one piece of advice is to believe in yourself and show confidence because you can do it! "

" Inclusion and diversity start when everyone seating in the room is conscious of it.

Our main task as a woman is to make them aware about that. Our voice is important but others voices can help us even more. This is a team-work where all of us play a key role to change the rules and make tech industry more inclusive ".

" The tech industry is still quite male dominated however it is great to see many more women joining and thriving in this industry. I hope we can maintain this momentum to drive more equality in tech.

The advice I would give to women looking to move into tech is always go for it! Don't let any doubts about not being qualified/technical enough or potentially being the 'only' woman in the room hold you back.

The industry needs trailblazers! "
